Joran Partners, a specialized sell-side advisory firm based in Switzerland, has officially launched, helping limited partners offload fund and direct stakes.

The firm concentrates on LP-led transactions below $50 million in size, which it considers a highly fragmented and underserved segment. By focusing exclusively on sell-side mandates, the firm looks to provide LPs with interest-aligned and transparent sales processes to unlock liquidity. To support its growth, Joran has assembled an advisory board of seasoned investment professionals with deep secondaries market experience.

Founder Tanmay Annachhatre, who previously worked on both the LP and GP side at Cambridge Associates and Blue Horizon, said the idea for Joran came from observing how many LPs lacked the knowledge and support — though not the interest or curiosity — to pursue liquidity options for their fund interests and direct holdings.

The addressable universe, according to Joran, is large and growing. Fund lifetimes have extended, and exits remain slow. At the same time, Annachhatre sees no shortage of demand. “There is a deep pool of capable buyers willing to transact at the sub-$50m and even sub-$10m level,” he said.

“Larger institutions have dedicated teams and access to an efficient market of buyers and advisors for big transactions,” Annachhatre told SecondaryLink. “But for many family offices, corporates, and institutions, both in Europe and beyond, the picture is different. Some don’t realize they can sell at all, or they assume it’s not worth the trouble. Others only know the big buyers, who may not engage on a smaller deal. Joran was built to change that dynamic.”

The firm’s role, Annachhatre explained, is as much about education as execution. “Our first job is often to help clients understand the flexibility that secondaries can provide, whether to manage liquidity, rebalance exposure, or simplify portfolios. From there, we help them end-to-end, executing competitive sales processes, so they can access the market with confidence. Our job is to bridge that gap for LPs who might otherwise stay on the sidelines.”
